The FST wellhead safety control system runs smoothly despite the harsh environment
According to CNPC Xibu Drilling: On August 2nd, 2019, the test company applied 140 MPa ultra-high pressure surface test process in Well Gaotan 1 to conduct system test. The wellhead flow temperature was 112.3℃, which was the highest record that FST’s equipment operated on.
The 30,000 psi UHP wellhead safety control system used in the Well Gaotan 1 was provided by FST. The hydraulic part of the wellhead safety control system adopts the integrated combination valve design to ensure that the system can meet the requirements of zero leakage. Control system adopts hot standby redundant RTUs. Stability and reliability are of the highest level in the industry. The safety level of the main components has reached SIL2 and above, and the system security is of the advanced level in the world. The success of this test once again validates the excellent performance of FST wellhead safety control system of the HPHT hydrogen sulfide-rich wells and continues to maintain its position as a high-end leading brand of wellhead safety control system in the oil and gas industry.
During the test, the ambient temperature was over 40℃. The measured media temperature in the well is 160℃, the media temperature on the surface can reach 112.3℃, and the maximum media temperature of the equipment is 121℃. The overall equipment is above the boiling point of water, and when it rains, the water dripping on the pipeline also makes a "sizzling" sound. The concentration of light hydrocarbons in crude oil is high, and the volatilization and accumulation of natural gas causes great risk of flash explosion.
The ambient and wellhead working conditions are very harsh. The FST wellhead safety control system runs faultlessly with accurate data, which provides a reliable guarantee for the risk control and data collection of Well Gaotan 1.
