FST makes an indelible contribution for completion of the first phase of SINOPEC Wen23 gas storage project
On August 1st, 2019, Sinopec Natural Gas Branch's Wen23 Gas Storage project officially put its No.3 cluster well site into operation, marking the completion of the project's first phase, which was finished one month ahead of schedule. The daily gas injection volume has reached 14.5 million cubic meters and the cumulative gas injection volume exceeded 1.6 billion cubic meters.
FST played a significant role in the project by providing the wellhead safety control system with RTUs. The system was designed to the highest standards and featured a redundancy design to ensure overall reliability. It also included functions such as wellhead control and data acquisition with an overall high level of integration. The core components used are high-end and certified with safety rating SIL2 or above, which ensured safe operation of the gas storage.
Sinopec Natural Gas Branch faced challenges such as tight time schedule, heavy tasks, and complex geological conditions for drilling and cementing during the project's construction. However, with the collaboration of FST and other companies participating the construction, it successfully completed the construction of 1 injection and production station, 12 compressor units, 8 cluster well sites, 11 single well sites, 77 gas wells and supporting gathering and transportation pipelines and effectively connected with Yuji Pipeline, E'ancang Pipeline and other main pipe networks.
FST’s employees cooperated fully with the user's schedule requirements, working overtime, despite the hot weather, to achieve success and complete production and air intake one month in advance, which was highly appreciated by the user.
